Hello friend,

How is your company doing? Hope its going great. Maybe one day we could meet and exchange ideas and share experiences.

Hope Uganda will prosper.

Anything I can help?

Best regards,

Hi John, Its good to hear that you are doing great. Yes we do have cdma here but our big telco companies use gsm for mobile. We are a startup company and we use alvarion products. presently we are doing pre-wimax deployments for corporate accounts. But we do want to migrate to wimax. Problem is with the National Telecommunications commission, they hamper the progress of wimax in the country.

Our partner digitel is using huawei equipments. They are indeed cheap. For your request let me get back to you, need to ask some friends on how much a small deployment could cost. would you prefer huawei or alvarion products? Huawei for network and alvarion for wireless? :) cisco would be very expensive, and have no experience with other wireless providers.. alvarion can go up as to 54Km radius so i bet it would be good for your setup..thanks

Hi Atine,

Good Day! How are you? Sorry took me too long to reply, got a little busy, anyway, we are currently designing a network for a small city which includes connecting government offices and branches. It may involve 100 CPE's at the least and around two base stations. This could be our basis for the deployment you like in Uganda.

As for the costing, we have to finish the network planning first for the project i mentioned above so that we could somewhat see the costing for your project too if we make this as our basis.

Alvarion is the one of the leading brands in BWA so they do have high tech setups. You could visit their webiste, for more details. There are customer stories on their products. We are currently using their carrier class BreezeAccess VL series. You could also visit our website,

As for sending engineers, we could talk about it later. Also you are most welcome to come here in the Philippines. i'll let you know if the project pushes through so that if you like, you can come here and look at our setup.

You could also personally email me at

I also have a yahoo messenger account, we could talk live if its ok with you,

hope to hear from you soon.

Best Regards and take care.
