Does the Cisco BWX-8300 require the use of the Cisco Broadband Wireless Gateway (ASN) or the Cisco BWX 8303 Basestation Timing System?

We're looking into purchasing a Cisco BWX-8300 in anticipation of the FCC decision that the 3.4-3.6GHz will soon be open for public use.  I do not believe it's possible to have a software solution…Continue

We're looking into purchasing a Cisco BWX-8300 in anticipation of the FCC decision that the 3.4-3.6GHz will soon be open for public use.  I do not believe it's possible to have a software solution that provides ASN service.  Likewise, I do not believe software exists that provides the functions of the Cisco Broadband Wireless Gateway.  Since we want to to allow this unit to connect directly to an ethernet system we want to ensure a purchase of this unit isn't a mistake.  We are not looking to…See More

Alcatel Lucent 9710 WiMax Base Station - Power Supply?

Hello,We've purchased an Alcatel Lucent 9710 that we'd like to get a power supply for (it didn't come with one).  Unfortunately, finding this model number or ANY information on it has proven next to impossible.   Lucent has lived up to their name - they're trying like the devil to make it as hard as possible to get any assistance with this unit by refusing to support it, since it was purchased from EBay.   Can anyone lend a hand to assist us in this (seemingly) simple…See More

Good afternoon,I'd like to know if any WiMax MiniPC cards are currently supported via Linux ?I read posts in 2008-2009-2010 on various forums, but didn't see an update in those threads, so I hope this is an intelligent question.More specifically, I would like to know if the WaveSat NP7256 or SQN-2130 is supported at all by any Linux distribution(s)?  I have a few WiMax base stations that I would like to remove the miniPCI card from and place it in a server, using it to broadcast to WiMax base…See More
