"Not exactly, it is confusing a bit, that why I've added the NB.   Upgrading to 4T4R will not double the spatial multiplexing gain, it will remain 2 (because CPE has 2 antennas).   But you will definitively increase the overall…"

"You still get the 3 dB increase in your UL/DL link budget with actual CPEs.   The real benefit of a CPE with 4 antennas is doubling the spatial multiplexing gain (from actual 2 to 4), that is 4x the theoretical throughput, but as you said, such…"

"Moving from 2T2R to 4T4R is obviously beneficial to your network. In 2T2R configuration, Beamformimg is not possible (cross antennas) but onece your system is upgraded to 4T4R, you can make use of this technique to mitigate interference and increase…"

"Kumar, give more deployment details regarding your network. Are you referring to internal or external interference?   If you use different TDD splits (35:12 and 29:18) in the same market for close by sites than off course you will face severe…"

"Hi zouhair, I'm not expert on this but I've seen new deployments preferring 4 ports Antennas over the classical ones. Compact, better public optical view and easy to manage. They got electric tilts for each side and isolation is > 30dB.…"

one 4x4 antenna vs. two 2x2 antenna

Hi All,Deploying 4 antenna elements per sector will improve the link quality and capacity, that's obvious. Still we have to chose between one single 4 elements antenna, or, two 2 elements antenna (10 lambda separation). What are the pros and cons of each antenna? Is it true that we can not implement BF if we use the two 2x2 antenna? why, maybe BF calibration? Please advice, thanks.See More
