World wide TV for free

As the DTV time grew near, no more analogue, I decided to rough it, and go all the way IP. Knowing the day was near that we wont really need, or have to depend on broadcast TV, to entertain ourselves.

Verizon Wireless' accelerated LTE launch puts Clearwire under pressure to roll out Mobile WiMAX in more U.S. cities

Verizon Wireless (VZW) will introduce Long Term Evolution (LTE) service in two "pre-commercial" cities later this year before a broader deployment next year, Chief Technology Officer Dick Lynch said this week. Where are the WiMAX MIDs hiding?

We noted the absence of major vendor MID announcements at CES. Based on our Jan 08 IEEE ComSoc meeting presentation (Internet in Your Pocket presentation by Rama Shukla of Intel), we were expecting a raft of WiMAX capable MIDs to be announced at CES. We were disappointed.
