Dear Kok Siow

Are you consistently getting the speeds you show in the Meter Photo?
It would be great if you could post a comment on your experience with the P1 WiMAX service. Is VoIP also offered?

Hello there,

Can you tell me which provider P1 is using for there WIMAX network? What is the brand of this CPE and gain of antenna? This is MIMO CPE? This speed test was in peak hours? Thanks

Hi Alan,
I just did a test just now and the result as below:

Speed test result with P1

Speed test result with speedtest.net

My experience about P1 WiMax:
1) Installation - Easy (Plug and Play)
2) Web browsing, youtube, skype call, email --> no issues
3) BT --> average about 30 kB/s to 60 kB/s, maximum is 140kB/s
4) Online gaming --> sometimes got connection timed out and need to reconnect

At the moment they do not provide VoIP service but i heard they are in the process of preparing CPE with FXS port. I will let you know once they offer the service.

Does your area cover with WiMax? How;s the development/deployment in your area?

Hi Jose,

P1 is using ALU BT, about the CPE, it's from P1 and antenna spec is 6dBi patch with MIMO. First test was done at 3pm on Saturday and second test was 10pm on Monday.
Are you using any WiMax service? Please share with me.

I am using Alcatel too (ALU like you said), but in 3.5GHz and using a bad Zyxel CPE (SISO) Max 210

At first, Alcatel was not stable platform, but they are really stable now whit new software releases.

I have like 1 year and 8 month using WIMAX, and really works. You just need a stable signal reception or not too much fluctuations for better internet performance.

Usually when I am playing online, most people have 50 ms response from servers, I have like 120 to 140ms, but the experience is good, no time outs from server whatsoever.

Hi Jose,

P1 is using 2.3GHz band. I just got this WiMax CPE at home for about 2 weeks, not really see any stability issue until now.

MAHYUDDIN RAMALI

Are you saying your WiMAX service does not work at all? Is Rawang Town in Malaysia where P1 is offering service?
